Comprehensive Baseline Environmental Studies Completed at the Besshoky Project

Comprehensive baseline environmental studies have been successfully undertaken at the Besshoky Project area.
The program focused on collecting key data to assess the areas’s natural conditions and identify any potential environmental constraints.

The work covered all major landscape features — from soil and vegetation types to surface and groundwater sources, local ecosystems, and wildlife diversity.
Field campaigns were carried out across three seasons — autumn, spring, and summer — during the following periods:

  • 18–23 September 2024
  • 17–22 May 2025
  • 22–28 July 2025

In addition, noise level monitoring was undertaken from 3 to 15 September 2025.
All activities were conducted in strict accordance with the environmental methodologies and regulatory standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The studies were completed by Terra Exploration LLP, holder of state license No. 02204P (dated 23 July 2020) for environmental protection works, which also prepared the final reporting documentation.
Quality assurance in line with international standards was provided by Hatch (UK), ensuring that the completed investigations meet both national and global requirements.
